Does The Local Gift Card expire?
The funds on The Local Gift Card never expire.
Can I redeem my gift card for cash?
The Local Gift Card is non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash at any time.
How do I use The Local Gift Card?
The Local Gift Card can be used at any participating merchants. A participating merchant list can be found at www.thelocalgiftcard.ca. Simply inform the merchant you will be using The Local Gift Card and they will know how to proceed.
What if I want to spend more than the card value?
The Local Gift Card can be combined with another form of payment to complete a purchase. Be sure to notify the cashier before they process your purchase to ensure they are able to complete a split payment transaction.
What if I have my gift card mailed and it never arrives?
No problem. Simply contact us via email or by calling 778 821 2247. After verifying that you were the one who purchased the gift card we will be able to cancel it and issue you a new one. (Shipping fees may apply.)
What happens if my Local Gift Card is lost or stolen?
Notify The Local Gift Card Customer Service via email or by calling 778 821 2247. Lost or stolen gift cards may not be replaced without adequate proof of purchase (original gift card receipt), and/or the corresponding gift card number. Please treat The Local Gift Card like cash, if it is lost or stolen there is the possibility of the card being used by someone other than yourself. The Local Gift Card cannot refund any lost funds but unused funds can be transferred to a new card for a fee of $5.00 (price does not include shipping if applicable).
What is the maximum amount of The Local Gift Card I can purchase?
Individual gift cards can be purchased between $5-$500.
Your total purchase may not exceed $3000.
How do I keep track of my balance?
You can check your gift card balance at www.getmybalance.com or by calling 1-800-755-0085. You can also write in your latest balance in the space provided on the back of the card. Plus, when you use The Local Gift Card, the approval code at the bottom of your receipt represents your remaining balance. Example 58X17 = $58.17
What if I want to return items purchased with my Local Gift Card?
Depends completely on the merchants return policy. The Local Gift Card merchants have their own return policies and are not associated with The Local Gift Card.
